The comment box won't resize while I'm typing in 
it, but 
will if I click away from 
it and return.

What I just did above was to click on the Title field, then 
the Nosy List, and repeated several times.  That caused the 
Change Note box to narrow in increments by about 1/3 its 
earlier width, causing the text to wrap and extra cr to be 
added, even though the text would easily fix in the resized 
field without changing the original wrapping. Once the field 
is narrowed, the situation is stable. 

The browser is apparently inserting extra CR in the pre block 
when that happens.  I typed the first paragraph w/o returns.

I'm with you at this point - it's probably a browser issue.  
Right now, I'm running Opera 9.02 Build 434 on Linux.

As far as my last comment on issue5559, that's my error - I 
had my bookmark panel set a little wide and the <pre> blocks 
wrapped.  Strictly a local display issue, the 'extra' cr 
weren't in the webpage itself, so ignore that last comment.

I'll check this on Linux with a later version of Opera.
